(1) Where a councilor elected in accordance with clause (a) or (b) of sub-section (3) of section 7 becomes vacant due to the death of a councilor or the resignation of a councilor or the fact that a councilor is unfit to continue as a member of the organization in accordance with the provisions of this Act, such If the remaining term of office of the councilor is less than one year, the council shall appoint one of the members of the organization as mentioned in the same clauses of sub-section (3) of the same section, and if it is more than one year, the position shall be filled by election.
(2) In accordance with clause (c) of sub-section (3) of section 7, where a councilor has died or a councilor has resigned due to a vacancy, someone will be nominated as a councilor for the remaining term of office of such councilor by following the procedure mentioned in the same section.
